BASIC UPDATE:
I have a PNG fix running on a site. When I delete PNG, delete the red cross and border. What is strange is that the problem only does this with this particular image. There are other Alpha Blended PNGs on the same page.
The image is not broken (you can see it), and this is not a link. But IE6 and 7 both put a box around it and a red cross on it. It also erases the style.

UPDATE: the image is NOT a background image, and the image is definitely not broken. You can see the image, work fine in Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Opera.
This is a regular old image tag.
