Zero downtime with hibernation

Question

What changes in the database (MySQL in this case) crowd out Hibernate (data, schema, ...)?

I ask for this because of zero downtime with Hibernate.

Modify the database, divide the application servers into two clusters, relocate the application to one of the clusters and the application to switch.
