ASP.net website. The assembly includes pdb files. How can I get rid of them?

I am using WebDepolymentAdd for VS 2008 to finalize my website. This is a website, not a web application project.

I installed the release build, not debug, even after the build. In the bin folder, it contains .pdb and .xml for third-party .dlls, such as AJAXcontrol, as well as .compiled. Do I need to include these files for the final version? How can I get rid of them?

I also noticed that he also created PrecompiledApp.config. Is this file required?

thanks

Jack

You do not need to include .pdb files for the final version, but there are some advantages in this case, for example, the ability to debug a live site with characters.

If you publish your website (even in the backup directory on your file system), you can tell VS only to copy the files that you really need to run your application.
