Syntax highlighting for PXSL?

To alleviate some of the headaches when working with XML, I experimented with PXSL , a shorthand syntax for any XML document with advanced macro capabilities. However, since it is so new, I could not find text editors who know how to parse it to highlight syntax.

Do you know about any editors or plugins that would allow this to be done? Where would I start if I wanted to define syntax highlighting, say, for Notepad ++?

Thanks in advance.
