We recently started using TFS. Currently only for source control.
We are considering using work items instead of our current bug tracking system. I heard that the workflow is configuring and would like to go for it.
A small example is that sometimes when working with an error, someone may decide that the product documentation needs to be updated, perhaps to explain a workaround or if fixing the error caused a change in the screen layout, new screenshots of the file will be needed in the help. I would like it to work so that if someone marks the “required documents” checkbox in the work item, after fixing and checking the error, the work item will be automatically assigned to our documentation group.
I heard that TFS supports workflow, but I am trying to find a suitable guide on how I will configure it.
Can you point me in the right direction? Or did I misunderstand what is possible?
