Is there basic data on the iPhone? Or how would you save data on an iPhone?

Suppose I am making an application that allows users to take short notes and record things. Is there any basic data on the iPhone OS too? Or how else would you save this data to your iPhone?

No. Core Data and Cocoa Bindings, as well as Objective-C's Garbage Collection is missing on the iPhone.

Update. As mentioned below, basic data is available with iPhone OS 3.0.

Saving data on the iPhone is not much different - write the data to a file (for example, plist). As far as I know, there is no Core Core data.
