Telephone Line Games

Question

I remember many years ago, my friend and I played in a team and defeated the red alarm, and there was a mode when we put the phone number of others and the game would dial and connect. How it's called? and where can I find a resource for the program for this?

Take a look at TAPI (Telephony API). In the Windows world, a set of APIs exists for this system ( http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms737219(VS.85).aspx ). The AT command set (Hayes commands) can also be used without TAPI on Windows if you treat your modem as a COM port and send AT commands to this COM port (which TAPI actually does), but it isolates you from different options, and also starting initialization and other commands in a specific order.
