"Start Debugging" is permanently saved in VisualStudio 2005

Question

I have a big project s> 1000 files. When I click the green “Play” button to start debugging, as soon as everything is built, the launch of the application may take up to 5 minutes.

Visual Studio seems to load and unload various DLLs, but it also just sits there, doing nothing.

Starting from the command line takes only a few seconds.

What's happening? How can I speed it up?

[EDIT] It turned out to be our Symbol server. The administrator killed him without informing anyone. Doh.
