What data can applications store in Mesh (and how)

Question

One of our applications is currently being deployed using ClickOnce and it is creating a SQL Server Compact 3.5 database in the Application Catalog application profile (roaming).

I am wondering if Live Mesh can store this data in Mesh? Either by saving and accessing the database file directly to / from Mesh, or by saving the original data in a grid.

Is it something that can be done and how, or is it something that should not be done? I am trying to get around this whole live Mesh (other than file synchronization).

Any recommendations, reviews, etc. will be appreciated.
