I am a college student, and at any moment I have 4-5 programs that I write in different languages for different classes / projects.
At any given hour of the day, I can be in the library, at home, in any of our various classes in the computer lab, etc.
Right now, my current modus operandi is at the end of each period of a class or coding session, I send myself the current state of what I'm working on with the corresponding subject line (for example, "MIPS Assembly Lab 2, Revision # 3").
However, this is becoming cumbersome, and I am looking for other solutions.
Limitations:
No Thumbdrive . I am almost as absent-minded as possible, but somehow I can do the job. I will lose him.
For portable or web applications only . I cannot install portable executables. Therefore, if the tool requires an installation wizard or administrative privileges, I cannot use it. However, I can use portable executable files stored in our network drive space provided to each student. Thus, this may open up some possibilities.
I'm looking for some kind of online storage that I can easily download the latest files for my project or update them in the online storage with minimal friction.
