Eclipse C ++ Content Assist Filtering

I am using Eclipse Ganymede (version 3.4.1) with a C ++ project. Is there a way to filter the content support list to show only the methods and fields available in the current context?
If not, why not? Is there ever a situation where I want to access private fields, etc. In the facility?

Does not look like. There are at least a couple of errors that open up regarding this. You're lucky it's too much! It never helps me.

The latest CDT (at the time of writing Helios, with CDT version 7.0.0.201006141710) fixed 2 of these errors. However, private member variables still showed up on the completion list when I tried it, as shown below.

It seems to depend on the order of declaration of variables in the class. If publicthere is a section before the section private, private variables are filtered out correctly. Although not ideal, it is certainly much better than in Ganymede.
