I am trying to create a function in my iPhone application that mimics the Springboard function (the main menu of the iPhone, which allows you to view more applications), or the way Weather works, which allows you to switch between views.
Does anyone have any samples of this, how would I do it. This seems very trivial, but I wonder if I am missing something that is already available, or as an example of Apple, or whoever made the tutorial on this.
The following shows how the user will use it.

When they slide their finger to the right (or left), another image will begin to appear. And it will be smooth. The faster you swipe your finger, the faster it will move to the next view.
Update: Another feature is that it should simulate the same thing when you slide your hand around the screen that snaps to the current view. It should not skip if there is more than one view in the direction you scroll with your finger.
I have seen other applications use this, so I ask.
