I am trying to specialize in MS SQL server technologies, but my work has required me to understand more MySQL recently. Should any MS SQL database administrator or developer have to do this, and if so, what were their biggest problems? At the moment for me:

  • Lack of a decent IDE
  • There are no simple ETL tools like ssis
