What is the best way to send emails from a web server to simulate backups and spam?

I have a web server that sends email (from IIS 5.1) to clients around the world. I have found that sometimes emails bounce off valid email addresses or they never arrive or are not considered spam.

I am considering using an external SMTP service.

Will this help? Are there other ways / tips?

Thanks in advance.
