Resources for learning SAS if you are already familiar with R

I would like to study some SAS, because I am interested in several industries, which, as a rule, use it exclusively. However, I do not want to go in cycles in a resource which assumes that I know nothing about statistical programming. Is there a good guide for programmers with statistics in R?

Thanks Steven

Robert Manhen reads your mind. He published a free manuscript, which later became a Springer book called R for SAS and SPSS users. It is really written for people who know SAS or SPSS, but would like to learn R. Fortunately, he gives examples of how to do things in all three languages. It will also work well if you know R and want to return to SAS. It started as a free manuscript, and then Springer helped him push it into a complete book. Here are some links:

In addition, here is a document on the topic of back and forth data transfer between R and SAS .

SAS for dummies should be pretty good. I have not read it, but people here at work seem to like it.
