How to record and play macros in Eclipse 3.5?

What tool would you recommend for macro recording and playback? Is there a language? I often switch between Eclipse and Emacs (actually Xemacs) for editing tasks.

It would be nice if I did not have to do so often. This will happen if a macro language / recorder is available in eclipse. It is available on Netbeans, so why is this not a priority for eclipse?

Eclipse does not have the current macro language:

  • Practical macro incompatible with current 3.5 or 3.6 Eclipse) (2014 update: it has been updated since 2010).
  • The official Eclipse Monkey offer has been withdrawn.
