Is there a standard icon size and color depth for J2ME?

There are many phones, each of which has its own icon size (for example, Nokia has 19 different sizes, http://www.j2meforums.com/wiki/index.php/Application_Icon_sizes ).

I would like to use only one icon (even if it does not display well).

Is there one size and color depth displayed on all phones?

There is no standard size, and some phones will not even show an icon unless it is the exact width and height specified for the device. Some phones may try to scale the icon up or down, depending on what it requires. However, you cannot rely on this. Another interesting piece of highly fragmented mobile space :)

Depending on the number of phones that need to be supported, this may not be realistic. To solve this problem, you can create unique assemblies for each phone. Not an optimal solution, but if you are trying to connect the application to 20+ phones, then the icons will be the least of your problems.

19 . , , " " .

Support for SVG badges starts with Series60 5th edition phones such as the Nokia 5800. Perhaps there is hope for this front in the long run.

Of course, I completely agree with omermuhammed: any moderately complex application that must support 20+ phones will require several versions of jad and jar files, even if yo umanage use the same icon for all phones.
