Include ib_logfiles in backup?

Short question:
Is it safe to skip ib_logfile * files when creating a custom backup of a MySQL installation using the InnoDB engine?

A user backup simply copies all (or a subset) of / var / lib / mysql + / etc / my.cnf to a safe place.

As I know, the ib_logfile * files were recreated by MySQL at startup +, the files are really huge, so it may not be wise to keep them in a backup. And yes, suppose MySQL is (correctly) stopped before backing up.
