Website Video

I am preparing a project proposal for a client who wants to publish a video on his website. I need to determine which video formats will be allowed, what video sizes, as well as the necessary tools for conversion and preparation.

I don’t have experience embedding videos on websites, so do I need markup to play videos on the Internet?

You can embed them using a flash player such as Youtube.

A quick way to do this is to use some kind of already made player, for example, the excellent JW FLV Player , free for non-commercial projects and very cheap for commercial ones.

FLV MP4, , , ffmpegx.

Use YouTube or Vimeo as a host. It doesn't matter which specifications are for YouTube or Vimeo. They accept only the type of video container / codec. When they say what size ... send me the best quality you have ... upload it to your host (youtube, vimeo) and let them do their magic to convert it to any format suitable for the user. Always give the encoder the highest quality material ... after video compression, you can never return the data.
