Question

What are the best and worst emacs key bindings in development software? Since I found out about this, I have been trying to use Cp and Cn to move up and down in everything that has a text field.

I am constantly annoyed by software that has emacs mode, which is obviously either compiled by someone who has never used emacs before, or did it in a shitty way. Therefore, let's find out the winners and losers in this thread.

Brave attempt

Eclipse Emacs links are worth editing. However, in some dialogs they mysteriously break down and copy backlinks to Cc and paste into Cv. Irritation.

Cp in PRIMOS means “break” everywhere (for example, Cc on Unix). I believe that it was there before Emacs was ported to PRIMOS, so it was easier to change one program than a thousand thousand users and clients. I first found out Emacs at PRIMOS, and it took me a couple of years to feel comfortable later with Cp :-).
