How to get a file from sourceafe programmatically?

Question

I need to get the file from the sourceafe database programmatically. Any idea how to do this?

ps: I will do this with C #.

There is an SS.EXE command line program that you can call to perform version control operations. However, it relies on the SourceSafe global configuration, so it is sometimes difficult to do what you need.
