step
Does administrative / data entry worker open ? loads a bitmap and, using a “lass-like” tool (for example, “magnetic” in Photoshop), indicates areas of interest / masks.
?
Profit! (i.e., the application opens a bitmap, a vector file that describes masks, does interesting things in areas of interest based on the runtime context)
My question is "what do we use for steps 1 and 2 ? "
- The main goal is to reduce the time required to complete steps 1 and 2 (the “mechanical Turk" part of the process).
- A strictly secondary goal is the ease of parsing / using a vector format that describes areas of interest / masks in step 3.
Cooler Talk:
"God, there must be some kind of Flash component that does this!"
"What about GIMP?"
"If we use C or C ++ programmers, this will not be a good investment ..."
"But what if it only takes a day or two?" "Nothing takes just a day or two" ....
To create a prototype, the obvious route is Photoshop → Illustrator → SVG .
But if there is a framework / library / editor that can simplify the coding of the "lasso" and the generation of the vector file, this can tip the balance in favor of writing your own editor.
Is there such a framework / library / editor?
