Where can I get spell check dictionary files?

I thought this was asked earlier, but 15 minutes of Google search and site search didn’t turn anything ... like this:

Where can I get for free (as in beer dictionary files and / or in speech)? I am mostly interested in English, but if you know any dictionary files, list them.

Note. This question has no right / wrong answer, so I made it a community-wiki. Nevertheless, I feel that this can be useful not only to me, but also to those who want to implement or use spell checking with various dictionary files.

There is apparently a semi-decent dictionary available for free here on CodeProject.com (unfortunately registration is required).
