How to get as much as possible from dbx

I am doing TDD on a daily basis for C ++ development on Solaris10. This has significantly reduced the time I need to spend using my debugger, but sometimes this is the only option.

DBX is quite powerful, but not so convenient. Note that I'm talking about the DBX console, not the SunStudio GUI for DBX).

What are the best performance tips you can give for debugging dbx c ++?

PS. Changing the debugger is not an option.
