Is there a good C ++ error reporting library that works well with Visual Studio 2005?

After reading this previous discussion and this , it looked like Crashrpt was exactly what I was looking for, but it seems that it is no longer supported and, after playing with it, I found that it does not work with Visual Studio 2005.

Does anyone use Crashrpt with Visual Studio 2005?

If not, can anyone recommend a good C ++ solution to automate the process ...

  • generates a detailed and readable crash dump and
  • firmware along with any other specified log files and
  • Email encrypted package to developers

Thanks in advance!

Are you sure you want to use CrashRpt.

I use CrashRpt with great success in 5 different great applications. CrashRpt provides you with the source code, so you can customize it as you wish. Several other large and popular applications use crashrpt, as well as the svn tortoise. All my projects in C ++, by the way, were in 2005, and we had no problems with CrashRpt.

You can find the latter in the Google section here .

I had great results with BugSplat ... it's a commercial service, but it works very well. You can download map files for assemblies and automatically map them to crash logs, they provide excellent statistics, and their support was fantastic.
