Does anyone here use PHP-GTK? Is there a better alternative?

Question

I asked some questions regarding PHP-GTK (there are only 4 php-gtktagged questions, and there are three of mine), and I will ultimately answer myself, because no one answers them.

I know that this is a strange choice of language, but I was attracted to it because it works on several OSs and the fact that I can reuse some of my code (also applications end up looking good, and I can make small installers in NSIS that just rocks).

Is there a better alternative, free (as in freedom) and can work on multiple platforms?

Other graphical applications that can be encoded in PHP include wxWidgets and Qt , both of which have PHP bindings: wxPHP and PHP-Qt
