Should the Cancel button be used as the Close button on a Windows form?

The three buttons Save, Cancel, Close look randomly, but after the user has saved the data, will they really click the Cancel button?

I need a save button to leave the form open.

What is the best practice?

thank

The standard on Windows is OK and Cancel. The OK button saves and closes the screen. The cancel button closes and loses the change. If they want to save changes periodically, add the "Apply" button. This will be saved and continued without closing.

The comment [Cancel] or [Close] above is logical. Cancel to end or cancel the process, or close to close the dialog box and leave the changes made.

What happens if the user does not want to save the information? Does the form push back the changes that will be displayed, or closes? If the form should be immediately closed, then by all means, delete the cancel button. If there is anything else you may need, then you may want to keep it.
