How to develop a WPAT datagrid control that supports data binding?

Question

I am new to WPF. I want to develop a datagrid control that supports data binding.

There is a lot of information about data binding to existing controls, but I cannot find any information on how to develop a control from scratch that supports data binding.

I do not expect a simple answer to this question, the link to start me will be pleasant.

Microsoft released DataGrid a few days ago as part of the WPF toolkit:
