I recently listened to a podcast that discussed in detail the short sentences of the Entity Framework (EF).
But, their opinion may need to be taken with salt (by me), as from what I could collect:
- These were people who were experts at ORM.
- They either made a living with ORM tools or their hobby
- They used ORM tools for large-scale applications.
- They were also very interested in ALT.NET uber tactics, which I don't necessarily do (YET)
My general question is:
- What type of project is Entity Framework currently suitable for?
But here are some secondary questions that may help you understand what I came across with this question:
- Is EF Better Than Nothing? I'm tired of doing everything by hand.
- Is it approaching a “solution to the same problem” as LINQ to SQL? 2a. If so, when could one approach another? * found a topic on this subject, since I discussed issues with this tag , so nevermind *
- Does this turn out to be simple “quick and dirty” applications, for example, when the bulk of your administrative CRUD forms?
edit: for those who may be interested, I mainly work on small and medium sized applications. This may affect your answer or not.
