Enable local scripts and flash in ie7

Question

I launch an old small application that runs in a browser from local files, and I keep getting: "To protect your security, Internet Explorer restricted this web page from running scripts or Activex controls that could access your computer."

Is there a registry setting or something that I can configure so that it can start automatically?

I know Mark of the Web , but in this case it is impractical (it doesn’t work in Firefox, unfortunately).

Internet Options> Advanced> Security> Allow Active Content to Run in Files on My Computer
