Sidewinder x6 keyboard macro for Visual Studio?

Microsoft's new keyboard, Sidewinder x6 can be recorded in a gaming macro. I was surprised if it can be used in Visual Studio (recording in the application too)?

(It can be very useful to press 1 key instead of Ctrl + M, M to switch the path.)
