Development with a tablet, not a mouse

Lifehacker had a couple of days ago asking people about the best mouse you have ever had , and it seems like some people are trading their mouse for a tablet.

I am curious if someone here traded their mouse on a tablet? Does this work well for development? Look for the pros and cons of people who have tried or use it.

Thank.

I used a small Wacom tablet as my primary “mouse” for a couple of years. I found the tablet very natural and even got used to typing, holding the stylus between my fingers. (In any case, I do not find the “right fingers in the home row”, so this was not a big adjustment)
