Java VNC applet

Does anyone know about an open source Java VNC server that can be run from a web page, so installation on the server, possibly based on applets, is not required.

http://vncj.com/default.aspx Once you receive it, you will not know how you lived without it. The server and client use the same .jar file on the html page indicating where your client-client is located.

A signed Java applet (or application) can use the Robot class to take screenshots of the current window and use it for remote control. It will never be very effective, but it can be done.

The accepted answer is incorrect - it is quite possible to build a VNC server in Java. Yes, Java is sandboxed, but that doesn’t mean that it cannot access the contents of the screen if you want to!

Checkout GSVNCJ

Check out the copilot . It does not require installation, works through firewalls and works like vnc. I think they use VNC backstage.
