How do you find media resources for game-dev?

I was interested as a lonely game developer, or to say part of a team that has only programmers and people who like to play games ... How can I control the emptiness created by the lack of artists (sprites / fragments / animations) in such a situation? ??

What will you do in this case? and suppose I am a student, without money, to hire artists, is there a place where I can get these resources legally and free of charge?

There are also several sites for images, such as freespace , where http://commons.wikimedia.org/ is indicated, another excellent resource for obtaining illustrations / images for your projects is to contact art schools or other places where you are often familiar with artists, and allow them to sign or receive a loan for any creative work you create.

Recently, I needed sound samples for free sound, and freesounds.org , where all sound samples are under the CC symbol . Not quite sure where I will look for images / textures.
