Looking for a good summary of SQL 2005 Partitioning

I am looking at this as a basic explanation of the SQL 2005 Enterprise section. Is there a resource that delves into the intricacies and considerations of this issue. A few more examples would be helpful.

My main scenario is a time sharing system. With one section that has the most access to the last X-days. This section will have to somehow slide (at least periodically) in order to keep it judging for the same number of days.
