How to set up RSS feeds in SharePoint

In the early days of SharePoint 2007 beta testing, I came across the ability to customize the template used to extract RSS feeds from lists. I can not find it again. Does anyone know where this is?

Ah, found this based on a subtle hint from Jan Tielens . It is located on the settings page for the list, in the section Communication → RSS Settings.
/_layouts/listsyndication.aspx?List=<list id>

I could swear it was more like an actual template file that you could customize.
