What is the correct term for the "number of std deviations" from the mean

I calculated the mean and variance of the set of values, and I want to pass a value that represents the # deviations of std from the average for each number in the set. Is there a better term for this, or should I just call it num_of_std_devs_from_mean ...

but sigma or stdev_distance is likely to be more understandable
