Trying to convert a bunch of jpegs into a movie

I have 28,000 images that I need to convert to a movie. I tried

mencoder mf://*.jpg -mf w=640:h=480:fps=30:type=jpg -ovc lavc -lavcopts vcodec=msmpeg4v2 -nosound -o ../output-msmpeg4v2.avi

But he seems crappy at 7500 frames.

Files are called webcam_2007-04-16_070804.jpg webcam_2007-04-16_071004.jpg webcam_2007-04-16_071204.jpg webcam_2007-04-16_071404.jpg Until March 2008.

Is there any other way to pass file names to mencoder so that it does not stop to pieces?

Move the list of images in the file, one per line. Then use mf: // @ filename

You might be better off switching to #mplayer or #ffmpeg in the Freenode IRC for specific assistance with these programs.

LiVES: http://lives.sourceforge.net

, - . LiVES File/Open File Directory .

After downloading the images, you can edit the clip and save it in various formats.

another alternative is to bypass mencoder and use ffmpeg directly

The odd answer ... but I thought Blender could create video from sequences of images. Just a thought.
