IIS crashes when serving an ASP.NET application under heavy load. How to fix the problem?

I am working on an ASP.NET web application, it works correctly when I try to debug it in Visual Studio. However, when I imitate a heavy load, IIS crashes without any trace - the log entry in the syslog is very versatile: "The World Wide Web Publishing Service terminated unexpectedly and it did it 4 times." How can I get more information from IIS to resolve this issue?
