Is mirroring related to SVK?

Does anyone know a way to use SVK with perforce? The docs seem to imply that it was possible, but some mailing list messages , which is no longer the case?

Why use SVK to mirror Perforce? Surely using Perforce Proxy is the best way to make your repository distributed?
