MDF file recovery

Can anyone in this forum recommend a tool / procedure for recovering or restoring a damaged SQL Server 2000 database file?

Can you attach the database (this may take some time)? Do you have MDF and LDF? Any errors in the event log or SQL Server logs?

You can create an empty log file if the LDF is missing or damaged, or run DBCC CHECKDB , and if there are still errors, run it again with REPAIR_ALLOW_DATA_LOSS (which, obviously, can lose data, but if you have a good backup, you probably don't ask about it).

sql- :

  • 'run from' start enter

  • 'cmd, "chkdsk

  • x:/r " , X , mdf

  • saved to confirm recovery, press the "Y" button, the system will be checked at startup and the MDF file will be restored

If this does not work, you can use a third-party my sql repair .
