Auto logo based image rotation

We are looking for a package that will help identify and automatically rotate TIFF fax images based on a watermark or logo.

We are using libtiff for rotation now, but we don’t know about any other libraries or packages that I can use to detect this logo and determine how to rotate the images.

I did the bulk of the work with OpenCV, but I'm not sure if this is the right tool for this job. I would prefer to use C / C ++, but Java, Perl or PHP would be acceptable too.

This is a fairly complex and specialized algorithm that you need.

Take a look at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Template_matching . There is also a demo program (but no source) at http://www.lps.usp.br/~hae/software/cirateg/index.html

Obviously, this requires you to know the logo you are looking for in advance ...
