How to create a pop-up window with the ability to drag and resize?

I want to create a draggable and resizable window in JavaScript for use in a cross browser, but I want to try to avoid using a framework if I can.

Has anyone got a link or some code that I can use?

JQuery focuses more on many useful functions of the utility and makes DOM manipulation much easier. Basically, I consider this to be Javascript, as you would expect. This is an extremely useful addition to the Javascript language itself.

Just trying to avoid large wireframe downloads to the client for one very small thing, maybe I'm tired.

I looked at jQuery, but also ExtJS, the documentation and the user interface look much superior and professional in ExtJS ... are there any special reasons for you guys recommend jQuery?
