Which 3D cards support full scene smoothing?

Is there a list of available 3D cards that provide full smoothing of the scene, and are they capable of working in hardware (decent performance)?

Almost all cards with DX7 technology (GeForce 2 / Radeon 7000) can do this. The most notable exceptions are Intel cards (the Intel 945 aka GMA 950 cannot do this before, I think the Intel 965 aka GMA X3100 cannot do this either).

Older cards (GeForce 2 / 4MX, Radeon 7000-9250) used supersampling (rendered everything to a larger buffer, decreasing at the end). All later maps have multisampling, where this expensive process is performed only at the edges of the polygon (simply put, shaders are launched for each pixel, and depth / coverage is saved for each sample).

On top of my head, almost any card, since geforce 2 or something can do it. There is always a performance loss, but it depends on the card mode and AA (about 100 different types), but overall it is a pretty strong blow.

Having recently seen a bunch of cars that don’t do this, I don’t think it’s true. The integrated GMA 950s do not do this for starters, and I don’t think the 3100 / X3100 do either (at least not in hardware ... 3100 was extremely slow in the demo). In addition, I do not think that support for the GeForce MX5200 is either.

Or maybe I just don’t understand what you mean when you refer to β€œAA mode”. Are there many cards that support modes that are almost invisible? :)
