Sending emails without spam

Possible duplicate:
Are you sure that the email that you send programmatically is not automatically marked as spam?

I want to send an update every week by email. But I fear that if too many emails are sent, they will be marked as spam. Do any of you have experience sending many emails (thousands) per week? What methods do you use?
