Install Visual Studio 2008 Sp1 on drive "D"

I am trying to install VS2008 sp1 on my working computer - it has a miserable 10Gb C drive. The bootloader SP1 does not allow installing elements in D, only C. It needs 3Gb for free, and the machine has only about 700 MB.

VS allowed me to install on D initially why not SP. The only thing I can think of is that it requires system files installed on Windows, etc., but I can’t believe that system files cost 3 GB?

You can also download the full ISO VS2008 SP1 image from here .

You can then burn it to a DVD or use a tool such as Microsoft's Virtual CD-ROM Control Panel to set the ISO as another disc.

After installing ISO as a virtual disk, you can start the installation of SP1.
