Asterisk gives the message "Strict RTP learning" and lack of sound for Chrome WebRTC, but works in Firefox

I experimented with WebRTC with an Asterisk server (v13.18) on the same local network as my computer. I configured the Asterisk 6003 extension to automatically answer and play a certain infamous sound file whenever it was typed, and then confirmed that it worked with the Ekiga softphone.

Then I was able to get this working also in Firefox with the following steps:

  • Opened an online demo site https://www.doubango.org/sipml5/call.htm?svn=252
  • Opened expert mode screen
  • The "Turn off video" checkbox is selected.
  • In the field []for the "ICE servers" field (because I am on the local LAN without NAT, I do not need STUN or TURN, although ICE is enabled in my Asterisk configuration)
  • My web server url value entered wss://asterisk-ci.test:8089/ws
  • Click "Save," and then return to the demo page.
  • I entered information about the asterisk server in the "Registration" section of the demo page and clicked "Enter", confirming that it displays the status of "Connected".
  • In the Call Management field, enter the extension 6003 and click Call.

In Firefox, this works great - the audio file is played to me on call.

In Google Chrome (latest version v65), the sound does not play, besides everything else it seems that it should work. In particular:
