Google Cloud Storage Log Decoding Request Id

Google Cloud Storage logs contain a field s_request_idthat is described as the "Request ID" in the documentation . It looks like base64url encoded and has a variable length in the range of 90-130 characters (in the logs that I have).

This seems too long and irregular to be a simple identifier, so I hope it somehow encodes the HTTP request that the log caused.

How is a field generated r_request_idand what (if any) information can be extracted from it?
