Android Studio 3.1: there is no submenu of the Android tool in the "Tools" menu

I just upgrade Android Studio from 2.2 to 3.1. I can not find the Gradle console and DDMS. There is no Android submenu in the Tools menu that allows me to receive DDMS

I have tried the solutions that I can find online on stackoverflow

1) File => settings => Menu and toolbars => Main menu => Tools => Android. I am on Android, it displays --------, no DDMS tools are indicated, and the Apply button is also grayed out.

2) Help => Find an action, then enter android to search. On-screen display of the Android menu, only the AVD manager and SDK manager are displayed under it.

Does anyone have the same problem? Does anyone find a DDMS and Gradle console in version 3.1?

There is no Android submenu in the Tools menu that allows me to receive DDMS

They removed this menu. All supported tools are located directly in the "Tools" menu. This is described in the release notes .

missing DDMS tool

DDMS is deprecated. Most of its features are now in the Android studio itself. You can still start the monitor of Android devices outside of Android Studio using the tool monitor, but you cannot open it and Android Studio 3.1 open at the same time. See the documentation for more details .
