Offer a top-level service or several service workers in the same domain?

If there is one domain with several teams and several web applications, what is the best offer to register a service worker to manage the entire site? Top-level service employee with an area /or multiple service workers in subdomains? All work services are used to store the cache in one domain, so it needs to control the cache without redundancy.
